The 3" (7.6cm) 420 stainless is a full tang constructed steel blade, full bellied, sweeping, hollow ground blade and is primarily a skinning knife it is about the same length as an index finger, so you know intuitively where the blade tip is at all times when working inside an animal but it is also very capable at carrying out most tasks in the field and would make a good addition to a survival pack or grab bag.

The edge can be easily sharpened in the field for many years of reliable service, made in Sheffield by George & Barry Holden of Samuel Staniforth est. 1864
